Fern Wiebe
November 19, 1954 – September 15, 2026
It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Fern Lucille Wiebe on Tuesday, September 15 2026, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
Fern will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Michael (Jackie), Jeff (Lindsay), and Jeremy (Marlee), and by her cherished grandchildren, Rhys, Olivia, Jax, Jayce and Aiden.
Fern’s greatest joy was her family. She will be remembered for the love she gave, the memories she created, and the special place she held in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Though she is deeply missed, her life and the love she shared will continue to live on through her family.
Family and friends are invited to join in a celebration of Fern’s life on Wednesday, September 23, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at West Portal Church, 3134 33rd Street West, Saskatoon.
The service will be followed by faspa (light lunch) at the church.

So sorry for your loss, really appreciated your mom. I grew up just down the street from her. Our prayers will be with as you go through this time of mourning.
May her soul rest in eternal peace. Fern had a great sense of humor. She would be greatly missed.

I first got to know Fern through church, then GriefShare and then she attended other classes I was part of. Fern was a beautiful person who loved her family and spoke of them often with great affection. Fern had a very kind and generous heart and I was blessed to have met her and call her my friend. She will be missed. May God’s comfort and strength be with you over these grieving days🙏.
Fern will be forever remembered, she is someone I trusted, someone it was always a pleasure to meet and share and make a memory with. Can’t believe she is only with us in our memories. My condolences
My condolences to Fern’s children, also to her sister Judy and to Hank and Julie! May God give you strength for the days ahead. I have many memories of Fern from way back as her grandparents, her parents and Fern and Judy were friends with my family for many generations. It was Fern who gave me a reference for my first permanent job at Central Haven. I remember when Gary and Fern lived close to my place, and Fern would ride her bike past our place and she was wearing shorts. My husband Alvin would yell out the window to Fern (his family was also friends with Fern’s family from way back) Hi Smucki Bein, which means Hi Nice legs. Fern would just smile and laugh . At Alvin’s funeral she came to me and said she was a privileged person to have a nickname from Alvin. I also remember being at Fern and Gary’s wedding. It is so sad that Fern has passed away, she definitely will be missed! She has joined the rest of your family up in Heaven but the pain down here still remains.
Sounds like everything has been said, Fern was a very special, friend. She dearly loved her boys, their wives & grandchildren, I’m sure she will be so missed. My prayers are with you all & may you be able to move on keeping her alive in your hearts with the great memories you have made during your life time.
