Eileen Huebert
February 9, 1930 – May 25, 2026
With love and gratitude for a life beautifully lived, we announce the peaceful passing of Eileen Huebert on May 25, 2026, at the age of 96.
Eileen was born to John and Bertha Tang; she grew up in Parkside with her eight siblings. When talking about the many things she saw in her long life, she recalled dancing in the streets when World War II ended, along with the multitude of modern inventions and conveniences that came to be.
Eileen met her sweetheart Martin at a Sunday School picnic and they were married on October 17, 1950. Together they raised four children and created a homestead near Langham where they farmed for many years. Her community and the First Saskatchewan Lutheran Church were large parts of her life at the farm, and she especially enjoyed her time spent with the ladies aid group. After Martin passed, Eileen sold the family farm and moved to Saskatoon. She greatly enjoyed her time with her wonderful and close friends, but her grandchildren were the ones who truly kept her going year after year.
Eileen will be remembered for her caring spirit, kind heart, and determination to live a full and meaningful life. Her hands were always busy knitting, embroidering, solving crossword puzzles, baking or making lefse. Anyone who agreed to a card game was always surprised at her competitive nature!
Eileen is lovingly remembered by her children Dale (Bev) and Debbie; daughter in law Brenda; grandchildren Matthew (Melanie), Kristin (Brent), Brandon, Amanda (Chad), Shelby, Brannon, Tori, and Presley; great-grandchildren Kyler and Emma; along with all the many children who came into her life and claimed her heart and love.
She is predeceased by her parents; husband, Martin; daughter, Marilyn; son, Bob; and her eight siblings. Being the last living member of the Tang family was always bittersweet for her as with everyone else gone, life was forever changed.
Rest peacefully, Grams. Your love was a gift, your life was a blessing, and your memory will remain in our hearts always.
