Robert “Bob” Huebert

Robert “Bob” Huebert

January 14, 1957 – June 3, 2026

In loving memory of Robert “Bob” Huebert, born January 14, 1957, who passed suddenly on June 3, 2026.

He was born in Saskatoon, to Martin and Eileen Huebert, and grew up on the Langham family farm with his siblings. His  passion for playing sports throughout school evolved into a love of debating about his favourite sports teams!

After graduating, he attended Bible school, where he fell in love with the light of his life, Brenda. After marrying on April 15, 1978, they had two wonderful children, Matthew and Amanda. In their 48 years together, they made a lifetime of memories encased in an enduring love.

His interests spanned from world history to classic rock. Every spring he eagerly awaited the return of the birds, while drinking his coffee in the backyard gazebo. Sitting in the gazebo early in the morning, enjoying everything in his world around him, was one way he felt connected to his faith.

Some of his most talked about memories were the motorcycle trips he and Brenda took in the early years of their marriage. He recalled fondly the sensations of being on the back of the motorcycle – the pockets of warm and cool air and the smells of harvest.

Bob called the transportation industry home for 45 years and held many roles throughout his career. He was most recently embracing his retirement and one of his most important roles yet – PopPop to his beloved granddaughter, Emma Rose. He commented that one of his favourite things recently was to listen to Brenda and Emma giggling together in the kitchen.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Brenda, his children, Matthew (Melanie) and Amanda (Chad), and his granddaughter, Emma. He is also survived by his siblings, Debbie and Dale, along with his niece, Kristin, nephew, Brandon, and great nephew, Kyler. He was predeceased by his parents, Martin and Eileen, and his sister, Marilyn.

A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at First Saskatchewan Lutheran Church.

In honour of Bob’s great interest in history and his deep respect for the sacrifices made by Canadians during both world wars, The Vimy Foundation has been chosen for memorial donations. The Vimy Foundation, 1195 Sherbrooke St. West, Montreal, QC H3A 1H9.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Dalmeny Funeral Home.

  2. We send our sincerest sympathy on the passing of Bob. Brenda and I have been great friends since 1996. Bob shared an interest in history reading about the great wars and true stories of heroism during those times. Brenda would sometimes get one of these books on her birthday so she could pass it down to Bob to read. Amanda babysat our kids and they remember her fondly. Our hearts, love and prayers are with you all at this time. Karen and Ernie Cox and family
