William “Bill” R. Janzen

William “Bill” R. Janzen

April 20, 1938 – April 6, 2026

With sadness we announce that Bill passed away at St. Ann’s Senior Citizen’s Village, succumbing to congenital heart failure on April 6, 2026.

Left to mourn his passing is Bill’s wife Margaret; sisters Nellie, Anna & Justina; sons John & Steven (Rita); daughters Rosemarie & Jasmine (Kyle); grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Bill spent his life working in the construction field, initially working with the Rempel Brothers before venturing out on his own.

Bill & Margaret purchased an acreage west of Clavet in 1967 and this is where they established a mixed farm.

In 2021, Margaret’s health deteriorated and she went into a personal care home.  Dad then moved into assisted living at The Bentley, spending the next four years there until his health failed to the point he could no longer care of himself.  Bill enjoyed himself there and made several friends easily.  The staff went above and beyond their role as workers, making certain that his needs were met.

The family would like to thank the staff at The Bentley, RUH and St. Ann’s Senior Village for their care and support.

At Bill’s request, there was no funeral.

Arrangements entrusted to Dalmeny Funeral Home 306-254-2022.

  2. I met Bill about 14 years ago when he first sold me some hay. We both worked in construction and had lots in common and really hit it off.
Over the years we would talk whenever we had a chance.
I’m proud to have called Bill my friend.
