Stanley Shaw

February 5, 1953 – May 3, 2026

Stanley Shaw of Rockford, Saskatchewan passed away on May 3rd of 2026, at the age of 73. He was residing at Parkridge Centre after a long illness.

He was born in New Westminster, British Columbia, on February 5th, 1953.

Stanley was a lifelong farmer and traveller. One of his greatest loves was his farm and its land, which he always returned to gladly after his many travels. Stanley was involved with alfalfa seed production and leafcutter bees for many years, assisting numerous producers across North America with his expertise. He loved fishing, camping, and cookouts. He had a deep appreciation for good music (especially blues) and good food. His favourite game was cribbage, and he was never far from a board and a deck of cards.

Stanley is survived by his two sons, one grandson, two brothers and one sister, several nieces and nephews, their spouses, and many friends.

He will be remembered for his quick smile, adept story telling, and his great appreciation for the simple pleasures of life.

To honour his wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be no formal service.

This picture is so alike you, just as some of your dad’s passions have influenced your life.   2. My condolences to the family. The Sunset Rockers will be playing at the Golden West in Preeceville on May 30. I had the privilege of knowing Sandy and we will definitely keep him in our thoughts and rock a song or two for him!
