Frieda Driediger

August 10, 1937 – April 21, 2024

Frieda Driediger was born on August 10, 1937 at home on the farm near Elbow, the youngest of ten siblings. She passed away peacefully on April 21, 2024 at Saskatoon Convalescent Home.

She is survived by her sisters, Anne Driediger and Mary Froese and by her nieces and nephews, John Froese (Ellen), Ken Nagy, Karen Lilly, Ken Froese (Irene), and Kathryn van Dam, as well as great nephews and nieces and great great nephews and nieces. Frieda was predeceased by her parents, Jacob and Aganetha Driediger and siblings Jake, John, Agnes, Tena, Henry, Helen, Lydia, two brothers-in-law John Froese and Ben Froese, sister-in-law, Marlene Driediger and by Judy Nagy, Carol Froese, Bill Lilly and Leo van Dam.

Frieda was an expert seamstress, with incredible attention to detail. She had a knack for turning out the most difficult projects flawlessly. From Frieda we learned about the benefits of healthy eating and apple cider vinegar. She loved animals, especially her favourite horse, Carmello.

Frieda spent many years at Saskatoon Convalescent Home where she received exceptional care. She was especially close to Sam and Oriole.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 25, 2024, 1:00 p.m. at Dalmeny Funeral Home, 139 3rd street, Dalmeny, SK. with interment to follow at the Hanley Mennonite Church Cemetery. To watch the live stream please click on the link below.
