I remember “Uncle Ed” well from Ranger Lake Bible Camp and his teaching with his puppet “Danny”. He was a gifted communicator and ventriloquist. Condolences to his family.

A wonderful man that brought nothing but joy and happiness to everyone he came across. He loved everyone and never asked anything in return. The world is a little darker with him gone. He will be dearly missed.

Sending my deepest condolences to Elizabeth and Nels. I remember Ed from our university years, then through our teaching career and finally crossing paths again at Prairieland. Ed was very proud of his work ethics and was always a true and loyal employee, He put his heart and soul into his work and truly loved the children he taught. May Ed now rest in peace as he loved being so busy during his earthly journey.

I had the pleasure of working with Ed at JLA School and he aloo taught both of my sons. They were so lucky to have him as a teacher. He cared so much about all his students. He would always go above and beyond to encourage the kids and make sure they felt special. He would make all the kids homemade calendars and always sent home pictures that he would take throughout the year. He spent a lot of his own time and money toward accomplishments that the kids would reach. He also would organize a fun night every year that everyone in the school loved. . It was so nice for our family to bump into him at all his many jobs and volunteering events he did throughout the years. He always made time to catch up. Let alone all the cards we received over the years like the Easter ones we received just a couple weeks ago. Condolences to Elizabeth and Nell’s. He will always hold a special place in our hearts

So sad to hear of Ed’s passing. I knew Ed through working at Prairieland. Whenever we were scheduled on the same shift Ed would chat about his teaching days and fondly remember many of his past students, many of whom he still recognized and acknowledged many years later! A most thoughtful and kind colleague and friend may you rest in peace.

I had the pleasure of meeting Ed and working with him at Vincent Massey. We taught right beside each other and there was never a moment in a day where it wasn’t clear that Ed was destined to be a great teacher. He was the kindest, most genuine person I have ever met and how he kept up with all the cards and connections over the years is beyond me! He was very passionate about his work and would stand up for what he believed. I loved seeing him going down the slides with the Kindergartens and other students at recess. He is the epitome of a relationship builder and had many great lessons for all of us. He will be greatly missed in so many ways!

My sincerest condolences to Elizabeth and Nels on the sad loss of their loving bother Ed.
I worked with Ed, Elizabeth, and Nels. We were employed with Prairieland and often saw each other at events, concerts, hockey, and lacrosse games. I’ll miss Ed’s enthusiasm, kindness, and generosity towards me as a friend, and colleague. May his memory be a blessing.
