It is with great sadness, we announce the passing of Dave Roberts, 83, of Radisson, Sk.,who passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 26, 2023 at St. Paul’s hospital in Saskatoon.

Born on the family farm near Fielding, SK, he grew up with a love of farming. He attended Fielding school until grade 11 when he quit to “ go farming.”

He loved sports. He curled, played hockey and baseball and later coached hockey at all different levels. On October 6, 1962 he married Myrna Harris, also from Fielding. They had 4 children: Kent (1963) Brad (1966) Craig (1969) and Carla (1972).

His career consisted of mixed farming, ranching, dairy farming, entrepreneur, truck driving, and finally coming full circle back to farming, owning some cattle and helping out for the last 20 years on the farm. Dave loved to have fun and throughout his life he made many, many life-long friends, mostly while hunting, fishing, camping, going to farm auctions, working on community projects, helping harvest or on winter vacations in Arizona.Dave was always very involved with the Radisson community. He helped build the swimming pool, the skating rink, the Red Bull and many other projects in town. He served on the Rec board, the Ag Society, the Co-op, Elks, and was a councillor for the RM of Mayfield for many years.

Dave was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Annie Roberts, and an infant son (1965).

He is survived by his brother John (Marlene) of Saskatoon; sons Kent of Radisson, Brad (Lee-Ann) of Fielding, Craig (Rachel) of Saskatoon, and daughter Carla (Brian) Williams of St. Albert, Alberta, numerous nieces and nephews and step-grandchildren.
