Menno Janzen
September 4, 1957 – July 1, 2022
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Menno Henry Janzen of Hague, SK, who passed away peacefully on July 1, 2022, at the age of 64 after a short battle with pancreatic cancer.
Menno is survived by his wife Eva, his three daughters: Sherry Burak [Jason (Elliott, Christopher)], Crystal (Kendall), April Unger [Greg (Julia, Lucas, Ruby, Sadie)], son David Menno John, and his two sisters: Elaine Nemanishen (Rick) and Irene Friesen (Bill), as well as many nieces, nephews and one great great nephew. Menno was predeceased by his parents David and Elizabeth Janzen, brother Edward, and two infant brothers.
Menno was actively involved in the community and will be dearly missed by many people. Whether it be at the Bergthaler Mennonite Church where he attended since he was a child and taught Sunday School many years ago, at the Hague River Valley Museum for weekend tours and pig butchering days, with the Hague Volunteer Fire Department for support in training and help attending emergencies, for Menβs Fellowship Coffee on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, and even at the local Bigway where he worked as the meat manager and handed out lollipops to the children.
The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 8, 2022, at 2:00 pm at the Bergthaler Mennonite Church in Gruenthal, SK.

Uncle Menno, so many memories to share, but the ones that I can smile about the most is when he brought out his slide projector and told us about his stories when he went to Hatii, the family slides, and also his farmer sausage after pig butchering, it was so good.
He will be missed so much, but memories will last a life time.

Sherry and family, We are so very sorry to learn of your Dads passing. Dean spoke of him highly and often after meeting him at the Bigway and missed him once he was no longer there.
