Dear Maurice, Clint, Tim and Families. Your mom always had a big warm smile and ready hug for me whenever I saw her. I so appreciated your parents love and support when my grandparents both passed away. Your mom lived simply but loved largely. May beautiful memories of a life well lived bring comfort over these days. Love and prayers, Menno and Lynn Janzen

The years have been many since Mary and Edgar became a part of our ‘extended family’ through the marriage of Marilyn and Lincoln. Mary and Edgar were good friends of Mom(Pat) and Dad Daku(Henry- who passed away in April 2019) sharing grandchildren, the work of Kenosee Lake Bible Camp, farming stories, travels and faith in the Lord! We all as a Daku family also got to know the Vellacott family over the years and grieve with you all at the passing of Mary. May your knowing that she is now in her Forever Home bring you comfort and peace!

Most recently I reflect also on a couple of phone conversations that I had with Mary over the past number of months. I was amazed and encouraged by her faith, in spite of the hardships she was experiencing. Her love for each of her children/spouses and grandchildren/great-grandchildren AND her love for the Lord was completely evident in our conversations. She was also interested to know how I was doing – which speaks to what I have heard others also express, that Mary enjoyed very much talking with others and finding out about their lives.

You all have been much in our prayers and thoughts too! What a rich, Godly heritage the Vellacott family has, To God be the Glory! (That is something I am sure both Mary and Edgar would have both said as they were leaving this life for Heaven).

Thank you so much for making sure we were always up to date on our beloved Auntie Mary.We miss her already. We will be reunited again. Your mom was a very special lady, I loved her boldness and her and I could have some very honest talks. We cried a lot together as we share that in common. But I could always count on Auntie Mary’s smile and sense of humour just always made my day, sometimes her visits stayed with me for weeks. Today’s service was exactly like it should have been, job well done Aunt Mary and family. Our prayers are with you all. Our Deepest Sympathy Love Brenda and Sheldon Anderson
