Dalmeny Funeral Home began in approximately 1918 when Abraham Funk became a Funeral Director. He first opened a funeral home in Mennon, Saskatchewan for a short period of time and then moved in to Dalmeny, Saskatchewan.
The second generation of the family took over when Abraham and Justina’s son Clarence Funk began operating the Dalmeny Funeral Home in approximately 1950.
The third generation of family funeral service started in 1981, when Gerald Funk joined his father Clarence. Gerald and his wife Jenny retired after diligently serving Dalmeny, Saskatoon and surrounding areas for 30 years in 2012. Gerald passed away in January of 2017.
The fourth generation of family serving at Dalmeny Funeral Home began in 2005 when Gerald’s youngest son Stefan Funk became a licensed Funeral Director, Embalmer and Preneed agent. In January of 2012 Stefan and his wife Katrina Funk took ownership of Dalmeny Funeral Home. Katrina Funk became a licensed Funeral Director in 2018.
Together Stefan & Katrina Funk would be honored to serve you and your family should the need ever arise.
