George Rempel
May 2, 1951 – October 12, 2021
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of George Rempel of Warman, SK on Tuesday, October 12, 2021. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife Colleen and daughters Mary (Thomas) and Margaret (Llewelyn) along with 4 precious grandchildren Olive, Sawyer, Mika and Georgia.
George spent his early years helping his mother, along with his siblings, run the family farm where he later raised his own family. Farming was near and dear to George’s heart and he spent many years running a dairy farm and doing custom field work with his brother. After selling the dairy in 1999 George stayed busy with both beef and grain farming.
George loved socializing and his family and friends meant the world to him. He had a love for life and a love for Christ and was baptized upon the confession of his faith on June 10, 1973. He had such a love for people and would befriend anyone that crossed his path. He was beyond proud of his grandchildren and his connection with them will never be forgotten. George had a mischievous personality and could light up a room with his smile and silly antics. Coffee with friends was one of his favorite pastimes and it is here that he made many lifelong friends.
George was looking forward to the next chapter of his life spending time volunteering at the care home in Warman and going for leisurely drives. This summers sunsets held a particular beauty to George and he often made mention of how if this is what we see now just imagine how beautiful Heaven must be. In his last days George told his nurses that he had so much to live for but the reality is, he had even more waiting for him in Heaven above.
