March 26, 1932 – July 27, 2021

Alvin Shostal, beloved husband of Mary Shostal, passed away peacefully on July 27th at Sherbrooke Community Centre. Alvin was born on March 26, 1932 in a log cabin in Hyas SK. He attended a country school, then Sturgis High School. He graduated from (then) Miller Memorial Bible Institute in 1954. He was married on March 3, 1956. They moved to Weyburn then started his electrical apprenticeship and completed that in 1961. Three sons where born in Weyburn. The family moved to Norquay, and he started working in the mine in 1966. Then in 1968 they moved to Delisle, where their daughter was born. Alvin retired from the electrical business in 2007. Alvin was very involved in the church and in the community. He served on the local school board, the church board and EYM for many years. He is survived by his loving wife Mary, sons Tim (Ruth), Ken (Suzanne), daughter Kathy (Marty) and 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, and his brother Arthur (Carolyn). He was predeceased by his parents Pete and Dorothy Shostal, and his son David. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, July 31, 2021 – 2:00 p.m. at Delisle Community Chapel, 417- 2nd Street East, Delisle, SK.
