Wayne Stahl
May 23, 1944 – January 28, 2020
The family of Wayne Brian Stahl is saddened to announce his passing which occurred on January 28th, 2020. He leaves behind his wife of 53 years, Darlene, daughter Dorinda (Mark) and grandson Lukas, sisters Gloria Thiessen, Mickey Schultz, Mildred Kluey, and Tiresa Stahl-Walker (Jeff). Wayne was born, raised, and lived most of his life in Saskatoon. He was an elementary school teacher in the Saskatoon Public School system for almost 30 years. Wayne’s passion was music, and his lightheartedness, sense of humour, thoughtfulness, and outgoing nature were his greatest attributes. The memorial service will be held on Monday, February 3rd, 2020 at 2:00p.m. at Mayfair United Church and will be officiated by Reverend Dave Moors. A private interment will be held at Emmanuel Country Church prior to the memorial service. There will be a viewing on Sunday, February 2nd, 2020 at 7:30p.m. at Dalmeny Funeral Home, 139 3rd Street, Dalmeny. In lieu of flowers, the family asks to make a donation to a charity of your choice. This beautiful man sang to my baby 3 month old Mariya, with the most beautiful deep voice, “The Wind They Call Mariah”. I will never forget you. Rest peacefully Devin’s dear Godfather.

Mr. Stahl was the best teacher I had. He was one of the only teachers to control me in public school.. I had so much respect for him.. Thinking of you my old friend. Many blessings to your family.

Mr. Stahl taught me after my older brothers and he always said” are you gonna follow the boys are you gonna do you?” Later he said “well welcome miss caron” I visited him 4 x’s after high school what a great man & teacher!!! I’m very saddened, my condolences! He will always be remembered by me!
Mr. Stahl was my favorite teacher in Elementary school…
“Copacetic” was his word….
