The family of Menno Waldner wish to announce his peaceful passing on November 5, 2019 at St. Paul’s Hospital Palliative Care Unit. Menno was born April 2, 1926 to Joe and Elizabeth (Gross) Waldner, the 6th of 14 children on the family farm south of Langham. Menno is survived by one brother Eddie, two sisters-in-law Suzan Waldner and Liz Waldner, 23 nephews and nieces. He is predeceased by his parents, Joe and Elizabeth Waldner, five brothers, Jake, Fred, Joe, Henry and Leonard; seven sisters and spouses, Andrew (Mary) Wurtz, Grace (Jake) Waldner, Beatrice (Jim) Brower, Lois (Joe) Wurtz, Dorothy (Joe) Hum, Bernice, and one sister at birth; sister-in-law Evelyn Waldner, nephew Darrell Wurtz, and two great nephews, Preston and Brydon Waldner.  A viewing will be held on Sunday, November 10, 2019, 7:00 p.m.  at Dalmeny Funeral Home, 139 3rd Street, Dalmeny, SK. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, November 11, 2019, 2:00 p.m. at Emmanuel Church, (from Saskatoon take Hwy 16 north, turn left on Lutheran Road for 4 miles, turn south (Left) on Rge Road 3071) Interment will follow at the Emmanuel Church Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Emmanuel Church or Mennonite Central Committee, 600 45 St W, Saskatoon, SK S7L 5W9. Arrangements entrusted to DALMENY FUNERAL HOME 306-254-2022.
