Harold Gurski
April 15, 1950 – May 5, 2019
Harold Gurski went very peacefully to his Lord & Saviour on May 5, 2019. He will be sadly missed. He was a good husband, step-father, grandpa, brother and friend to many. He leaves behind his wife Louise; sister Lori; brothers Rob & Perry; step-daughters Layla (Brad), Carrie (Steve), and Rochelle; special niece Jenn (Matt), Michelle (Jason), Andrea and Leah; as well as 10 grandchildren whom he loved dearly. He also leaves to mourn his passing, sisters & brothers-in-law, Edna (Larry), Martin (Elma), Marge (Rene), Bernie, Aggie and their families.
He was predeceased by his parents John & Evelyn Gurski, his brother Ernie, and his sister Loretta.
Harold attended St John Bosco Elementary School and St Pauls High School. After school he worked as a Printer for many years. He retired at Houghton Boston, where he made many friends. Sunday was a special day for Harold and Louise as they would often go for lunch after church and then do their grocery shopping together. Harold loved going on road trips with Louise all over Western Canada. They especially enjoyed camping along the way. He loved cars and was a great co- pilot for his brother Rob when he went along on trips to pick up old classic vehicles. He was fascinated with trains and would always take in a train show when he could. Harold’s family was very important to him. His mornings would almost always consist of a phone call to his sister Lori, and in the afternoon, often a visit with his brother Rob. He loved spending time with the grandchildren, just talking and listening to them for hours.
A Memorial Service will take place on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. at West Portal Church, 3134 33rd Street West, Saskatoon SK. Memorial donations can be made to the Cancer Foundation of Saskatchewan, 200-4545 Parliament Avenue, Regina, SK S4W 0G3. Arrangements entrusted to Katrina Funk at DALMENY FUNERAL HOME (306-254-2022).
