January 16, 1931 – February 10, 2019
It is with heavy hearts that the family of John R. Wall announce his passing on February 10, 2019 at the age of 88. Dad will be deeply missed and remembered by his children Gord (Heather) Wall, Bev (Dale) Huebert, and Randy (Sheryl) Wall; 15 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Dad is also survived by his special friend Irene Dorval and her family. Also surviving are his siblings Neil (Verna), Abe (Mary), Lillian (Bill), Mary (Jake), and Margaret; In-laws Betty (Jake), Frieda (Abe), Sylvia (Dan), Ernie (Dianne), Linda (John), Irene, and Mary. Dad was predeceased by his wife Edna, parents Peter and Margaret Wall; brothers and sisters, Jim, Ike, Peter, Ann, and Tena; brothers-in-law, Dick Neudorf, Isaac Unger, Cornie Klassen, and Ed Hildebrandt. Viewing will be held at Dalmeny Funeral Home, 139 3rd Street, Dalmeny, on Friday, February 15, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. Service of Remembrance will be held at the Osler Mennonite Church, 212 2nd Ave, Osler, on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Warman Mennonite Special Care Home, #500-201 Centennial Blvd. Warman, SK S0K 1A0. Condolences Gord and Heather for you loss.
John was a true horse lover. He knew and understood horses. He and Edna loved the acreage with its freedom and animals and fresh air. But he was also someone who loved people. Wherever he worked…janitor and bus driver at the Osler School, he was appreciated. But his dedication to Edna and family stood out. He loved the Osler Mennonite Church, and his presence there will be missed.
