Leanne Patricia Epp
March 26, 1957 – October 27, 2026
Leanne Patricia Epp, artistically known as Leanne Dufour Atchison, born March 26, 1957, to Wanda and Miller Dufour, died in St. Paul’s Hospital in the early morning hours of October 27, 2026. She was the eldest daughter of 5, which included Linda, Laurie, Patrick and Mark.
Leanne leaves behind her son Jason (Tammy) granddaughter Trinity and daughter Shea-Marie, husband of 24 years Steve Richard Epp and her adopted stepchildren Jacquie (Todd) Rowan, Kimberly (Rob) Harms and Cristal (Brad) Koop, several grandchildren, a great grandson, and her mother Wanda Guenter who cared greatly for her in her last years of life.
Leanne was raised in the north Saskatchewan country on a small, humble farm where she developed a love and appreciation for the beauty of nature, animals and people. As a child she was gifted by her grandparents a watercolour set to help give her mind sanctuary. This helped propel her forward in the art world where she flourished as a professional artist and teacher for many years. Leanne became a master in her craft of painting and teaching art by consistently practicing and investing in it. Leanne encouraged the pursuit of music and art on all her loved ones especially her daughter Shea-Marie who watched and learned from her.
Leanne was a strong-minded independent thinker, never compromising, dedicated to her beliefs and creatively driven in everything she did. She found serenity and peace in reading her Bible with her husband and sharing her passion with anyone who would listen, she took to writing and painting her ideas which showcased her unique mind. Leanne was noted for having unshakable faith in every season of her life and she inspired many to create and live with passion. Leanne leaves behind an abundance of artwork and writings for her family to sift through and remember her by. Her favourite scripture “To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:” Ecclesiastes 3:1.
