Brady Joshua Born

October 14, 1988 – October 19, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Brady Joshua Born on the morning of October 19, 2026, at the age of 38, following a courageous six-year battle with cancer.

Brady was born in Alberta and grew up with a love for the outdoors and a strong work ethic from an early age. At 18, he met the love of his life, Hailey, at Bethany College. They married at age 20 and went on to build a beautiful family together, welcoming five children by birth and opening their hearts and home to many precious foster children beginning in 2023.

A talented woodworker, creative craftsman, business owner, and successful salesman at Zak’s, Brady was a man who could build almost anything with his hands. He had a special gift for making clients and coworkers feel comfortable and valued while maintaining a genuine sense of professionalism. Brady was also a gifted musician who loved to sing, write songs, play guitar and drums, sharing his musical talents with those around him.

Brady gave his life to Christ at an early age, and his faith remained at the centre of everything he did. Throughout his six-year battle with cancer, including paralysis caused by a spinal tumour in 2021, he faced each challenge with remarkable faith, determination, and a cheeky sense of humour that kept those around him on their toes. His attitude often surprised even his doctors, as he refused to let his illness define him or become an excuse to stop living. Rather than dwelling on his limitations, Brady continually found ways to make the most of what he could do. His unwavering trust in God inspired countless people, and his life stands as a beautiful testament to the love and strength of Jesus Christ.

Brady was predeceased by many beloved family members, including his two sons, Jamin and Theo. He leaves behind his devoted wife, Hailey; their five children, Dekker, Laela, Rowan, Solomon, and Waverly; Spoons, Munchie, and the many foster children whose lives he touched; and a loving circle of family and friends.

Of all the things Brady built throughout his life, his greatest legacy remains the family he loved, the faith he lived, and the lives he touched. Though his years on earth were far too few, his love and example will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
