  1. My beautiful mama, I love you and now you can rest peacefully. Watch over all of us and protect us. Until we see each other again.

  2. Roberta and I were instant friends from the moment I met her in 1983, when she began working for me at Mane Attractions Salon. We had so much fun working side by side, beautifying our clients and sharing plenty of laughs along the way.

Many Thursday nights we would head to the Long Branch because Roberta loved live music and country dancing—and boy, was she good at it! I was much more of a disco girl back then, but Roberta managed to convert me into a country music lover, something that has stayed with me ever since.

When her daughters were born, Roberta decided to stay home and build a salon business of her own. Ten years later, she came back to work with me again, and throughout all the years and changes in our lives, we remained good friends.

One of my favourite memories was visiting Roberta after she moved back home to Nova Scotia. She and Brian absolutely spoiled me, showing me their favourite places around the beautiful Maritimes and taking me glamping in their gorgeous RV. I will always treasure that time together.

I am heartbroken that cancer took Roberta far too young, and especially sad that I never had the chance to reciprocate and spoil her here in Kelowna. She was supposed to come out this past summer, and I so wish we could have had that time together.

My sincere condolences go out to Brian, her daughters, her mom and siblings, and to all the many people who loved Roberta. She touched so many lives and will be deeply missed.

Rest peacefully, my dear friend. I will always treasure our friendship, our memories, our laughter—and the country music you brought into my life. ❤️

  3. My deepest sympathies go out to all of Roberta’s family with prayers for peace and comfort.

  5. Rest in peace my beautiful Mama. We all love you so very much. Not a single day will go by that I won’t be thinking of you. Forever and ever in our hearts. I know you are up there watching over us with Dad. Two guardian angels. Big hugs and kisses. I will keep reminding my boys to be strong and courageous and adventurous and to forgive and love with all their hearts for Grandma. Those words will be our guidance.

  7. ” GOD GARDEN”
    God looked around his garden,
And He found an empty place.
He then looked down upon this
earth and saw your tired face.
He put his arms around you
    and lifted you to rest,
    God’s garden must be beautiful
    He always takes the best.
He knew that you were suffering
He knew you were in pain,
He knew that you would never
    get well on earth again.
He saw that the road was getting rough and the hills are hard to climb.
So he closed your weary eyelids
and whispered ” peace be thine.”
It broke our hearts to lose you
    but you didn’t go alone,
For part of us went with you,
the day God called you home.

  8. Roberta you knew your wings were ready to fly. That’s why you tried to say goodbye .
    I know that now !
Ready for what was to come , we were not.
You kept asking how much time I have left for me
We said you have time relax , breathe
We knew your hearts last wish we prayed
To see your daughters your grandkids to see the faces hear the voices the children laugh the tears we all knew then this is real hard to believe but realized it’s real .
As your big brown eyes looked up at us as if to say let’s go , I tried hard to smile for you not cry , knowing soon they would all arrive .
OUR HEARTS WERE NOT READY TO SAY GOODBYE 💔
We love you Roberta our Daughter, , Big Sister our Mama & Gramma in our hearts forever ❤️

  9. Sending condolences. I hope that knowing she’s watching over you brings you peace ♥️
