Frederick Forrest
November 3, 1946 – July 17, 2026
It is with profound sadness that the family of Frederick Piper Forrest announces his passing on July 17, 2026, at the age of 79. Fred was born November 3, 1946, in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan to Jim and Ellen Forrest.
He was predeceased by his parents and his brother Bob. He is lovingly remembered by his wife Linda, his sons Jim (Leica), Joe (Amber), Jason (Erin); his sister Wendy Gray and her husband Tom; his seven cherished grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews, extended family members, and dear friends. Growing up, Fred helped his dad farm near Tuxford, Saskatchewan. At the age of 18, he earned his chauffeur’s license and began a trucking career that spanned nearly 50 years. Trucking was more than a job to Fred. It was his passion. He proudly trained his three sons, a nephew, and his wife Linda to drive truck. Fred and Linda made many memories together on the road, and all three sons have many stories to cherish. Fred will be remembered for the joy he found in spending time with family and friends. He loved sharing stories, laughter and making lasting memories with people he cared about the most.
In keeping with Fred’s wishes, no funeral will be held. Fred’s memory will live on and in the hearts of who knew and loved him.

Freddie was so loved by his family and friends, he was such a character and we loved spending time with him and Linda at the lake on our way home from Moose Jaw trips, at family parties and a wonderful holiday with them in Nashville. So many laughs were had. We will miss him so much! Cheers to Freddie
My sincere condolences. I have a fond memories of Freddie, growing up down the street from the Forrests and having close friendships with each his boys throughout my life.
Freddie was loved by all our family and we have many loving memories – music on, lights strung on campsite, games to play with cheer in hand and always making sure everyone there having fun! Whether a ski doo, sea doo, boat or truck – ready to go have fun. Always making sure Linda close by!
