Cheryl Passmore
July 11, 1954 – March 3, 2026
Cheryl Lynn Boys was born on July 11, 1954 in Moose Jaw, SK to Alice and Marshall Boys. She passed away at Royal University Hospital on March 3rd, 2026. She was the oldest of four kids, Len (Cheryl), Donna, & Holly (Gordon). As kids they loved skating, bunnies, walking around Moose Jaw and the outdoor swimming pool.
At a Jesus rally in 1972, Cheryl met and fell in love with Brett Duane Passmore. From that moment on they could not be separated! They married on September 8, 1973.
They had four children Christine, Jamie (Curtis), Alison and Joel (Juli). They were a family on the go and moved around Saskatchewan several times, to Winnipeg and then settled in Saskatoon in the 1980’s. The kids enjoyed the moves because Cheryl and Brett always made it an adventure! The kids would say that home was where our family was, it didn’t matter the location, it mattered that we were together. She was adored by her children for the example that she set in her faith, her strong relationships & importance of family and the legacy of love and compassion.
Cheryl and Brett were blessed with eight grandchildren Austin (Ainsley), Gavin (Marissa), Caleb, Emery, Alyssa, Ethan, Tyson and Noah.
Cheryl fervently prayed daily for each of her grandkids that they would love Jesus. Her faith was so important to her and it was evident to everyone who knew her. Every child and grandchild felt like they were her favourite because she had a way of lighting up when we walked in to the room.
Cheryl loved each grandkid in a unique and special way and it was evident as they grew up because they all made Gramma’s house the hang out spot! They had weekly game nights (Cousin Catan!) sitting around her table. Cheryl loved listening to their laughter as they played. Two years ago the cousins planned a sleepover at Gramma’s as a surprise to Gramma and Grampa! When they arrived home, the grandkids were waiting for them and cheered ‘SURPRISE’ and showed off their matching pjs!! What a joy it was for Cheryl and Brett to feel the love from their grandkids!
This joy carried into her work life and she was loved by her co-workers and the people that she cared for, she had a very special place in her heart for Jackie. She also had a very special way of caring for those around her and had a heart for those in need.
Cheryl filled her days with things that she enjoyed most like coffee/green tea dates with her sisters, family gatherings, hot dog dates with Will and taking care of those around her with phone calls or rides. We have heard from so many people how generous she was and there was no judgement from her. She also loved every minute spent with Brett, she was his biggest fan and loved helping him while doing life at his side.
Cheryl had a passion for God, her church and her Bible. She had completed a 396 WEEK streak in the Bible app! Quite often you could find Cheryl sitting at the table with her bible and devotional books out! She loved volunteering at Massey Place Church by greeting people at the door and made everyone feel welcome! She also loved helping with the Christmas hampers.
There were so many in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews and great nieces/nephews that she loved and she prayed for each of them. Even in the jobs that Cheryl chose you could tell how much she loved serving and caring for others, even when it was just getting us all discounted hotel rooms!! You can tell by her daily journal that she loved so many people and we will all miss this beautiful woman so much!!
To honour her love of family, there will be a celebration of life planned for the spring or summer, so that everyone can have the opportunity to gather, just as she would have loved.
Arrangements entrusted to Dalmeny Funeral Home 306-254-2022.

When our daughter met Joel, I never realized the beautiful Mother in law she was getting, until I met Cheryl.
