Bruce Alexander White
January 9, 1938 – September 21, 2025
Bruce Alexander White passed away peacefully with his wife Elizabeth by his side on Sunday, September 21, 2025, at the age of 87 years.
A humble man who was reluctant to brag, Bruce would nevertheless be quick to proclaim pride in a few specific things in his life:
Convincing Beth Crossland to marry him.
Becoming a father to Janet Lee, Bruce Allen, and Robert Mark.
His (many!) skydiving feats!
Beating a decades-long addiction to smoking.
Creating a beautiful yard from a barren lot in Leask.
Meeting and loving Jesus Christ.
His genuine delight in family, adventure, overcoming addiction, patiently transforming a bleak space into a lovely one, and sustaining lifelong love taught us all how close contentment can be if you simply learn to give thanks for what you have received.
He leaves to mourn: Elizabeth (Beth), his loving wife of 68 years. His daughter, Janet Podhordeski, his son, Bruce White (partner Lise Leguerrier), and his daughter-in-law, Roberta “Bobbie” White., Five grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren:, Kendall (husband Kurt) Manz: Peyton, Tenley & Griffin, Kiley (wife Jessica) Podhordeski: Kaden & Reise, Cody (wife Colleen) Podhordeski: Nevada, Aubrey & Violet, Strider White (partner Maya Chrzanowski), Alliance White.
He was pre-deceased by many loved ones: his parents, Thornton and Isabelle, all six of his siblings (one sister and five brothers), son Robert, granddaughter Amanda, great-granddaughter Autumn, and son-in-law Larry Podhordeski.
A Memorial Service will take place on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Leask Seniors Hall, 231A 1st Street South, Leask, SK.
