George Bueckert
August 17, 1968 – May 20, 2025
With heavy hearts we announce the passing of George Bueckert, of Warman, SK, on May 20, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. Left to mourn his loss is his mother, Susan Hamm, brother John (Margaret), girlfriend Nicole Anderson, and many other family and friends.
Viewing will be held on Monday May 26, 2025, 7:00 pm at Dalmeny Funeral Home, 139 3rd Street, Dalmeny, SK. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, 2:00 p.m. at the Warman Bergthaler Mennonite Church with the burial to follow at the Neuhorst Cemetery.

I met George about three years ago because he was our always-faithful janitor at St. Vincent of Lerins Orthodox Church in downtown Saskatoon. He really took pride in his work. I was the maintenance coordinator there so I often saw George and also his mother Susan while I was doing maintenance work there. George always had lots of time to stop his work and visit. We seemed to have lots in common so we often exchanged stories and interesting experiences in our lives. I also enjoyed visiting with his mother Susan. She is such a bright and cheerful person. She helped George with his cleaning, and then took time to do some Sudoku puzzles, crosswords, and various other word puzzle challenges. Of course, she always had time to talk as well, so it is obvious where George inherited that valuable positive interpersonal attribute. I will miss George a lot.
