Jack Wagner
June 19, 1954 – December 6, 2024
With great sadness we announce the passing of our Father/Husband, Jack Joseph Wagner. Jack was a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather and Brother. With his family by his side, Jack lost his courageous fight to Cancer at 7:15 p.m. on Friday, December 6th 2024. He is survived by his wife of 49 years Erma Wagner, children Trevor (Aya) Wagner, Angie (Phil) Abdilnour, Brother Ken (Carol) and sister Marilyn (Fred) Smailes. Also his grandchildren Samantha, Vanessa, Madison, Joseph, Erliz Wagner as well as Allie and Ariel Abdilnour.
Jack was born in Saskatoon on June 19, 1954 to Mother Minnie Magdeline Shatz and Father Joseph Mack Wagner. Jack attended St.Pauls North elementary school and E.D Feehan High School. Jack started his working career at Dominion Foods in the Midtown Mall where he soon met his future wife Erma Heppner. Erma and Jack were married on June 14, 1975. He then had his son Trevor in August 1978 and his daughter Angie in November 1981. Jack had a few different jobs through the years after Dominion Foods. Palm Dairies was his next job where he spent a lot of years with his good friend Norm Neault. After that he worked for Dairy Producers. Jack went on to start his own business at Fas Gas Hwy 5 in the early 2000’s. He spent the next 7 years there. Then he went to help his son Trevor at Fas Gas on Circle Drive for the next year. Once the Fas Gas venture was over Jack was really set on getting a chance with Access Transit. After extensive applying and persistency he got hired on with Access Transit part time. Jack really enjoyed helping the Elderly get to their destinations safely where he took great pride in what he did. In 2017 Dad retired from Access Transit at the age of 63. Luckily Jack got to enjoy retirement for a little while with his wife Erma but that ended way to soon at the young age of 70.
Jack’s memorial service/celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at Hampton Free Methodist Church at 3:00 p.m, followed by snacks. It’s located at 2930 McClocklin Rd, Saskatoon, SK S7R 0A1. Any donations could be made in Jack’s memory to the Lung Cancer Society.
Arrangements entrusted to Dalmeny Funeral Home 306-254-2022.

We are so sorry for your loss. We are glad the four guys in the band got together at a BBQ two years ago. Jack had a great singing voice. He will be missed.
