Michelle D. Regehr
November 17, 1972 – November 19, 2023
Michelle D. Regehr passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 19, 2023, at the age of 51 years and 2 days.
Michelle was diagnosed with cerebral palsy at birth, and she faced the associated challenges with courage and a love of life. She had a wicked sense of humour and loved to be teased but could also tease back. One of Michelle’s favourite comments was, “Oh, please give me a break.” She programmed this phrase into her communication device so it was always readily available. Michelle was very spiritual and often spoke of God; she was baptized on the confession of her faith and was a Mount Royal Mennonite Church member.
Michelle was predeceased by her mother, Bev, grandparents, Ben & Eva Regehr, Jacob & Hilda Heinrichs, uncles, John Regier and Ken Schmidt, and cousin Sandra Cooke.
Michelle will be remembered by her father, Al Regehr, brother Jeff (Megan), nephew Alex and niece, Karys; the extended family, Vivien (Ken) Sieben, Janet (Lorne) Peters, Doris Regier, Gladys Schmidt, Ella (Henry) Funk, as well as many cousins. Michelle’s Parkridge Centre family (staff and fellow residents) will also remember her.
Michelle’s life will be celebrated on Friday, December 1, 2023, at Mount Royal Mennonite Church (610 Ave O, North, Saskatoon) at 11:00am.

I was so sorry to hear of the passing of Michelle.♥️ I worked at parkridge with Michelle for 14 years. She had a spirit and zest for life that was an inspiration to all . She was compassionate and always up for playing a trick or joke on someone.. I will never forget her as she left a lasting impression on me and I will never forget that infectious smile and her distinctive laugh..
Heaven just got another Angel.♥️🙏🏻
Rest easy Michelle🥰
Dear Al, Jeff, Megan, Alex and Karys,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you as you mourn Michelle’s passing. Our family will treasure her smiling face and excitement that we always experienced on our many visits. Courage and strength.
Every Nov.1 for as long as I can remember Michelle would come tuo my son’s room and ask “When are you going to put up the Christmas decorations in the hall and paint the windows?”She loved following me around to make sure each one had a special place!I loved watching her parading around with her dog on the chair when Bev brought him up. I will miss our goodbyes every night and jokes in the ding room.Love to all of you,we have a special. Christmas angel💖
It was with a great amount of sadness that I read about Michelle’s passing. Although I haven’t seen her for awhile she was one of my many former students who has made a lasting impression on me. Michelle had an infectious laugh and was always a joy to be around. Our days together at CRC with the rest of her classmates were memorable. We did a lot of great things together but I guess the most noteworthy was our school trip to Disneyland in 1982. I’m so glad and thankful that we had the opportunity to travel to California as a school/family trip. A lot of memories were made on that trip.
Rest in peace Michelle. You have fought the good fight.
Michelle is the most amazing lady that I ever crossed paths with. Our neighborhood will never be the same with her gone, everyone has been affected. Michelle was an amazing and a beautiful person. She will be forever remembered and very much missed. Please take Care Al and family. Hugs
Michelle was a student of mine at Marion Graham Collegiate. To be truthful, I was actually a student of Michelle’s … she taught me so much! When I first met her, I was instantly inspired by her spirit and tenacity. I’m so glad I met Michelle early in my teaching career, as I was able to apply the lessons she taught me to all my years in education. Thank you, Michelle! She will be dearly missed … my condolences to her family and friends.
Al, Jeff and families, I am so sorry to hear of Michelle’s passing. I have lovely memories of Michelle, from baby to a beautiful young woman. Michelle was a bright spark through her life, and brought joy to her family and friends.
Al and family. Sorry for your loss.
Michelle was such an amazing young lady that I have known since 2005. The first time I brought a few firefighters to see her for her birthday, she nearly came out of her chair. It was from that day forward, I brought firefighters and/or firefighters calendars, snowmen and chocolate every Birthday. I will miss her smile and the joy she brought .
I had the privilege of working with Michelle at Marion Graham. I looked forward every day to Michelle’s arrival to the classroom. She always came with her big smile and the twinkle in her eye. We shared many laughs and wonderful times. Michelle was always up for whatever came her way. I always admired her family and the love they all shared. Michelle left me with many self reflections and ways to look at life. My thoughts and prayers are with the family and loss of your special one. I treasure in my heart that I got to know Michelle!
