Margaret Van Meter (nee Hiebert) passed peacefully at Spruce Manor Special Care Home, with her son, Darcy, at her side on Friday, February 9, 2023, at the age of 93 in Dalmeny, SK. Beloved wife of the late Harry Elliott Van Meter. Loving Mother of Nell of Toronto, ON, Randy of Hemlock, Valley, BC. Peggy (Larry), of Carrot River, SK, Joseph (Yuki) of Deep River, ON and Darcy (Christine) of Dalmeny, SK. Cherished Grandmother of Eric, Leah, Mandy, Damen, Logan, Tyson, Christopher (in heaven), and Hannah. Great Grandmother of Kaden and aunt to numerous nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by her parents Abram and Aganetha, and brothers and sisters, Abram (Phyllis), Mary (George), Susan (Jake). Tina (Jake), John (Olive) and Nellie (Jim) and brother-in law , Tim Van Meter. Margaret will always be remembered for her love of her family, and the huge effort that she put into her farm, her animals. her many gardens, her flowers, her beekeeping, her kindness and her excellent cooking. Margaret appreciated immensely her family, friends and neighbours. Margaret’s life was full and well lived. She will be missed by the many people who knew and loved her. Many thanks to kind and supportive staff at Spruce Manor. Respecting Margaret’s wish, cremation will take place. In memoriam donations to Spruce Manor Special Care Home, Box 190 Dalmeny, SK S0K 1E0, would be gratefully appreciated. Margaret will be laid to rest beside her husband, Harry at Moose Range Cemetery.
