Elsie Emma Flath (nee Meister)
December 4, 1928 – December 17, 2025
Elsie passed away peacefully on December 17, 2025 at the Dalmeny Spruce Manor Special Care Home at 12:45 p.m. with her daughter Joanne and grandson Cody at her side.
Elsie was born on the Clark farm, east of Radisson and north of Borden, Sask. Her husband and soul mate Arnold, passed away August 15, 2009 after 58 years of marriage.
Elsie is survived by her 5 children: Gordon, Ken (Sandra who passed in June 2017), Bruce (Cathy), Joanne (Murray), Becky (Shawn): 3 siblings: Agnes, Ruth & Arnold; 13 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 1 great, great grandchild. Built of a strong foundation of faith Elsie always faced life’s challenges head on. She embraced her family and friends with love and an always open door. On the farm all the creatures were special to her and she taught her family to treat them that way.
After moving to town in 1976 her home was a truly special place for all. Her grandchildren spent much time there and learned so much from their grandma. Elsie’s yard was often the talk of the town with flower beds bursting with flowers of all kinds. It truly was her passion.
After Arnold’s passing she was forced to move into the Villa in Radisson. As time went on her health and age put her into the Borden Care Home, and later in the Dalmeny Care Home.
The family would like to express our special thank you to the staff in Dalmeny Spruce Manor, with an extra special thank you to Lisa, Gwenn, & Nikki for the outstanding care they gave Elsie.

What a beautiful picture of Auntie Elsie. It is so much of how I remember her, her beautiful warm smile. Uncle Arnold and Auntie Elsie always had a unique way of showing someone how special they were. Their visits were filled with kindness, genuine interest of “how are you” & of course there would always be a bit of teasing. My fondness and love towards a very special aunt and uncle will always be engrained deeply in my heart. My deepest sympathy to my cousins & their families as you prepare to celebrate your mother’s love and life. Another era & chapter has closed yet to hold and cherish such incredible memories & moments is in itself grand. Love to you all ❤️. Love Anne Marie
