Linda Doell
April 1, 1951 – November 6, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Linda Doell from our midst on November 6th, 2025, at RUH in Saskatoon with her family by her side. Linda was born on April 1st, 1951, at Saskatoon City Hospital, the daughter of Katherine & John P. Doell. She spent the first 8 years of her life in Saskatoon and then moved to Warman with her parents, where she continued her schooling and grew into adulthood.
Her life journey took her to Kamloops, Hinton, Melfort, and then back to Warman. She was the proud mother of three sons and two steps sons, whose hearty appetites helped her hone her cooking and baking skills. They taught her about the pros and cons of doing homework, with many trips to the school and attending countless sporting events. She was a courageous and loving mother to them all.
In 1981, she decided to pursue her lifelong dream of becoming a nurse. She returned to school as a mature adult, becoming an RN, and serving her patients with care and compassion in the three Saskatoon Hospitals. Then the opportunity arose for her to teach in the nursing program. She brought her passion for learning and a love for people to her students, inspiring them to be the best nurses that they could be.
Linda experienced a great deal of loss in her life, including her health, which she learned to tackle with the grace of God and her resilient spirit. She credited her patients in the hospital, whose tenacity she admired as they taught her so many life lessons. They showed her how to persevere in life’s challenges with courage, strength, and a positive attitude. Linda, in turn, sought to be a positive role model for her students and the people that she cared for when facing those challenges.
She did her best to rise above her limitations, approaching life with an infectious smile and unwavering kindness. Despite her health challenges, she continued to pursue her love of photography, hobbies, and quilt making. Her love for people extended to her animals, especially the many schnauzers that filled her home with affection over the years.
Linda loved family gatherings and any opportunity to visit and eat together. Her faith in God helped to sustain and nurture her through all of life’s challenges.
Linda was predeceased by her grandparents, her parents Katherine & John P. Doell, stepmom Tena Doell, brother Murray, sister Mary, son Kimball, niece Brittney Fehr, niece Stacy Myrol, nephews Scott & Spencer Cox.
She is survived by her sons Michael Regier (Kristy Cooper), Alex (Sarah) Doell, stepsons Mike Jodoin (Jean Anne Fraser), Rob Jodoin, daughter-in-law Dianne Laidlaw-Regier, grandchildren Brandon Regier, Alycia Regier (Terrence Cunanan), Michelle Jodoin, and Mathieu Jodoin. Linda’s siblings: Adeline (Doug) Cox, Leonard (Tina) Doell, Heather (Gord) Wall, Howard (Robi) Doell, Shelley (Lawrence) Fehr, Vernon (Selena) Doell, Lyle Doell, Don Doell, Greg (Holly) Doell, Lisa (Martin) Harder, many nieces and nephews, and the extended Olfert family.
We want to acknowledge everyone whose lives have been touched by Linda’s spirit and rest-assured knowing her impact and love will never be forgotten.

I’m so very sorry for your loss.Linda was an absolute gem .Her kindness and compassion were next to none. We moved to Warman 20 plus years ago and then moved back to Saskatoon. So I got to know Linda in my years of living there. She always had a smile on her face and always talked.Later on I would meet her in the hospital and nursing home settings. If someone needed or if you needed someone to talk to you she was the one.Rest in peace. You have earned your Angel wings.❤️❤️
I spent a lot of time with Linda this year as my Wife and her childhood companion Elva was dying, She had plenty of her own problems but insisted on being with Elva as much as possible. In the Hospice she would tell hold her hand touch her face and whisper jokes and memories for hours on end. This went on for months. Her persistence to exist was unbelievable. She laughed a lot and I will miss Linda.
So sorry to hear of Linda’s passing . When I was in nursing school , she substituted for the instructor for most of the semester. She was an awesome instructor . My deepest sympathies are sent for all of her family .

My condolences to Linda’s family and friends. Linda was my nursing instructor for a practicum around 2004. Just last week while decluttering, I found a photo album and personalized note that she had given me upon completing the practicum. She was a lovely human and had a great impact on my nursing education.
