Elmer James Andres
September 22, 1933 – April 20, 2025
Elmer James Andres of Hepburn, Saskatchewan died peacefully at 91 years of age on Easter Sunday (April 20, 2025) at Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon.
He spent a lifetime serving his Lord and farming with his family. Elmer leaves behind to mourn his loving wife Hedy and children Melvin (Judith) and Carol (Jerry) as well as grandchildren Thomas (Jessica), Matthew, Mark (Regan), Rachel (Colin) and Kate (Jeff).
A Memorial Service will take place on Sunday, April 27, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Forest Grove Community Church, 502 Webster Street, Saskatoon, SK.

We always enjoyed the times when we could ‘catch up’ with Elmer (Mr. Andres!) He was kind and always interested in what was happening in our lives. His faith ran deep, and we appreciated his wisdom and thoughtful words, often said with a smile. Easter in Heaven- what an incredible thought! Keeping you all in our thoughts and prayers.

I will never forget the New Years’ Day message Elmer gave in Hepburn many years ago when Elmer began with the question: “Where will you be if you get to where you are going now?” That question had a big impact on me, and I have referred to it from time to time while teaching a Sunday School class, leading a Bible Study or in conversation over the years. My memory of Elmer goes back my first year at Bethany. He was a role model in so many ways.
