
David “Dave” Windsor Robinson
February 27, 1937 – March 2, 2025
David Windsor Robinson, aged 88, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at Saskatoon, SK. He was born on February 27, 1937, in Eagle, Ontario, the eldest son to Forest and Erna Robinson.
Dave is survived by Verna, his loving wife of 33 years; siblings Mary and John; children, Liz Hollema (Mark); Janet Bye; Bruce Robinson; Chris Bridgman (Patrick); Cathy Geisler (Richard); grandchildren Liza Wright (Scott); George Hollema; Darryl Hollema; Andrea Hollema; David and Lindsay Robinson; David Bye; Quentin Randall (Keri); Ryan (Tyler) and Shawn Geisler. Great grandchildren include Michael and Amber Wright; Alex Dunn and Antonia Hollema-Dunn (Khaled); Chenoa and Daytona Bye; and Morgan and Allyn Randall. Dave is also survived by sister in law, Marlene and several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, as well as great great nieces and nephews.
Dave was predeceased by Heather, his first wife of 29 years and mother of his children, his parents and sons-in-law, Art Hollema and Wayne Bye.
Dave served in the Canadian Army Signal Corps as a teletype operator and served overseas as a Peacekeeper in the Belgian Congo and took a posting to Rheindahlen, Germany as well as serving a six- month posting in Canada’s most northern base, Alert, NWT. A subsequent posting to Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan when its Air Force base began integrating Army forces, saw Dave move his young family west from Ontario to Saskatchewan. Dave worked at various jobs in various locations throughout Saskatchewan after leaving the military.
Dave was a proud and committed friend of Bill W. for over 40 years.
At Dave’s request there will be no service. Following cremation, Dave will be laid to rest by his family at the Dalmeny cemetery near Saskatoon at a later date.

I am one of Dave’s first cousins. My name was Betty Robinson. Our fathers were brothers. His sister Mary had contacted us. Sending our condolences to Verna and Dave’s family. 💔
Dave will be missed by our family. Verna was my mom’s older sister. We enjoyed spending time with both of them and getting to know him over the years. Dave you will be missed by all of us. 🩷🩷
