Neil Tallmadge

December 6, 1951 – December 11, 2024

It is with great sadness that the family announces Neil’s passing which occurred at his home on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, surrounded by his family.

Neil Tallmadge was born on December 6, 1951, in Weyburn, Saskatchewan, to Rodney and Irene Tallmadge. He is survived by his spouse, Judy; siblings Cheryl (Doug) McKay, Sherri (Alvin) Korol, Shelley (Howard) Fertuck, Patsy Dobni (Rob Wright), Shawn (Krista) Tallmadge, Marilyn Tallmadge, and Duane Enns; and nieces and nephews Katie (Joe), Keith (Shanine), Shane, Amie (Chris), Kyle, Owen, Emma, Logan, Morgan, and Ryan. Neil was predeceased by his father Rodney, mother Irene, brother Arden, and sister Tammy Enns.

Neil’s early years were spent in Meadow Lake, where he attended school until the family moved to Langham in 1967. He graduated from high school in 1970 and began working in Meadow Lake before moving to Lloydminster to work for an auto parts company. After a few years, he pursued a carpentry apprenticeship with Tubby & Wilkes, earning his Journeyman Carpenter Certificate in 1975.

On June 16, 1973, Neil married Judy Klein, and they moved to Saskatoon. After two years of apartment living, they purchased a home in Saskatoon. In 1980, Neil decided to build their dream home in Langham, a project he took immense pride in and kept impeccably maintained. One of Neil’s beloved traditions was his Christmas light displays, which he continually improved, making his home the envy of the neighborhood.

Neil and Judy also shared a passion for travel. Over the years, they enjoyed five cruises and many holidays at a resort, often joined by Cheryl and Doug. Neil loved hockey, golf, and softball. Hockey was a significant part of his life, and he played well into his 50s. Softball was his summer pastime until he discovered golf, which became his passion for many years before illness prevented him from playing.

Neil’s legacy will live on in the memories of those who loved him.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Langham Evangelical Bible Church, 47 5th Ave, Langham, SK.
