Verna Peters
July 15, 1938 – July 30, 2024
Verna Peters was born to Clarence and Tina Neufeld on July 15, 1938, in town of Waldheim, Saskatchewan, the oldest of two children in her family.
Verna grew up on the family farm in the school District of Rose River. She had many fond memories of going along to church with the Willems family, who were their nearest neighbours.
She met the Love of her life, Dennis Robert Peters and they were married October 11, 1957. Mom said it was a beautiful fall day for their wedding.
The next phase of their life was all about raising their 4 Children: Audrey, Jeff, Douglas and Matthew. Mom and Dad farmed along side grandpa and grandma Peters, and they lived on the same yard for 13 years.
Mom dedicated her live to Christ in 1972, and along with her 2 oldest children, was baptized in the Hepburn M.B. Church. She was always baking and cooking and made some of the tasting meals. Neighbours and relatives would often drop by at the mealtime and mom would make meals for all.
Over the years mom and dad went on many holidays, to Graceland in Nashville, Tennessee, Las Vegas, and to Deadwood in South Dakota and many shorter trips.
Verna is predeceased by her parents, Clarence and Tina, and her husband Dennis Peters, and her brother Roger Neufeld, and her son Matthew Peters.
Verna is survived by her three children, Audrey (Dan) Peters, Jeff (Linda) Peters, Douglas (Betty) Peters and ten grandchildren Jordan, Brenton, Kassandra, Jacquelyn, Travis, Heather, Nelson, Myles, Justin, Dakota and 12 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
