Timothy Peters

September 3, 1961 – July 8, 2024

Tim was a caring person. He was not a crowds guy but enjoyed one on one talks with family and friends. The exception was when he had no choice but to engage simultaneously with his four nieces and nephews who were always keen to spend as much time as possible with Uncle Tim whenever they discovered that he was coming to their house in Winnipeg, or that they were driving to Saskatchewan and would be seeing him in Osler.

If Tim saw someone on the side of the road with car trouble he would stop to help. I know of occasions where he made sure people’s cars were roadworthy when they had to travel long distances. Tim spent time searching for products and supplements to improve his health and his friends’ health.

The Discovery and History Channels were among his favorites, and he had a great ability to remember facts on just about any subject. Tim worked in structural steel as a welder, and in quality control. He had an innate sense of how pieces fit together. Tim worked at Fleetguide Truck and Trailer Repair. He was creative with design and function, rebuilding a custom bus, building a service truck and designing tools to make work more efficient. Tim’s goal was always for the result of his work to be as good as new.

Tim’s passion was cars of all brands. He had his favorites and there was nothing he liked better than if the engine had spark plugs wires coming through the center of the valve cover. Tim put his faith in Jesus and knew heaven was a better place.

You are missed Tim.

Tim is survived by his brother Leonard Peters, sister-in-law Colleen Peters, nieces and nephews, Victoria (Ryan) Williams, Renee (Evan) Jones, Nicholas Peters, Jackson Peters, and grand nieces and nephews Koral Willams, William Jones, Hudson Jones, and Cooper Jones. Tim was predeceased by his mother Sarah Hiebert and his father William Peters.

There will be no service at this time. Arrangements entrusted to Dalmeny Funeral Home 306-254-2022.

Tim, you were always available to talk to or help someone out especially about recommending supplements. I always took your advice and would feel better.
I’ll miss calling you and saying Timothy my brother my brother and you answering Mary my sister my sister.
I was always so grateful for your family taking my brother and I in after our father passed. That was an amazing summer meeting some of your relatives in Alberta and BC then going to Spokane WA .
I will miss you Tim and especially taking on the phone a few times a month.
I know you are in heaven and I would not be surprised if you are tinkering on a whole bunch of cars. I even imagined your house would be one of your favorite cars.
