William Wiebe
May 8, 1933 – May 6, 2024
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of William Wiebe who died peacefully at Royal University Hospital on Monday, May 6, 2024. William was born in Aberdeen where he married his wife Helen Friesen in 1959. Together they had 3 children and farmed the land he was born on.
William enjoyed listening to music and sometimes played the harmonica and guitar. He always was on his bicycle in summer, even right up until last year. He enjoyed farming, watching the crops grow and he harvested. He also liked to go in the garden and enjoy the nature. William loved his family and was always there for us. We were blessed to know him and love him.
He is survived by his children Leonard, Laura, and Charmaine; his sisters Annie and Tina; sisters-in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Helen; his parents Martin and Anna Wiebe; sisters Beth, Mary, Helen, and Maggie; several brothers-in-law and nephews.
A public viewing will take place on Friday, May 10, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. at Dalmeny Funeral Home, 139 3rd Street, Dalmeny, SK. The Funeral Service will take place on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Dalmeny Funeral Home, 139 3rd Street, Dalmeny, SK with the interment to follow at Aberdeen Bergthaler Mennonite Church Cemetery.
