Leslie Morose
November 14, 1940 – January 30, 2024
The family of Les Morose is sad to announce his passing at his home in Saskatoon on January 30, 2024 at the age of 83 years. Les was born on November 14, 1940, the only son of George and Theresa (Walby) Morose in Watson, Sask. He completed his high school in Watson. He then moved to Saskatoon and attended Allen Business College.
On August 28,1971 Les married Diane Doucette. That same year he attended Kelsey Institute where he completed an Industrial Mechanics course. Over the many years of his career Les worked as a taxi driver, construction worker, wholesale worker, industrial mechanic, welder. His last employment was with Cosmopolitan Industries from which he retired in 2003. Following his retirement, he worked at Jubilee Holdings as a building cleaner.
Les was a man of many and varied talents as was demonstrated by the numerous hobbies he pursued over many years – leather work, fly tying, radio-controlled airplanes, woodworking, model trains. He was an avid reader of Western novels.
Les spent many years as a member of the Saskatoon Wildlife Federation of Saskatoon, a member of the Knights of Columbus and as a leader for Scouts Canada.
Les enjoyed the outdoors and was a deer hunter and avid fisherman. Many enjoyable weekends and holidays were spent first at Piprell Lake and then at Little Bear Lake.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 52 years Diane, his daughter Amy, her husband Blair Nundal and their son Henry, his son Keith, his wife Richelle and their son Liam. His two sisters-in-law. Gerrie Melnechuk and Monique (Wade) Unruh and their children Lance and Melanie and granddaughter Ayla.
Les was predeceased by his parents George and Theresa Morose, his in-laws Leonard and Clem Doucette and brother-in-law Dale Melnechuk.
The Celebration of Life for Les will be held on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. St. Peter the Apostle Parish, 1121 Northumberland Ave, Saskatoon, SK. To watch the live stream please click on the link below.

Thoughts and prayers are sent to the Morose family. My grandmother (Stella Walby) and Les’ mom were sisters. A visit to Watson to see Aunt Theresa was always special. I met cousin Les a few times and was struck by how much he looked like my dad and uncles. He definitely had Aunt Theresa’s smile and eyes that always made you feel welcome.
