Carrie Dawn VanBeek, born on June 13, 1963, in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, peacefully passed away on October 23, 2023, surrounded by her loved ones in her home in Saskatoon. She is survived by her parents Lloyd and Marie; loving husband Tony; son Brandon (Vanessa); daughter Ashley; her cherished grandchildren Braiden, Talia, Benny, Olivia; and her sister Laurie (Brady).

Carrie’s love for life was exemplified in her passion for travel, particularly to British Columbia to visit her parents. Her heart truly found its joy in the company of her beloved grandchildren, where every moment was filled with laughter and love. A small iced cap, a testament to her simple pleasures, always brought a smile to her face.

Carrie’s magnetic personality was an inspiration to all who had the privilege of meeting her. Her unwavering positivity could brighten even the darkest of days, and it was impossible not to be drawn to her infectious spirit. She was a beacon of light for anyone in need, a guiding presence in both good times and bad.

Carrie’s deep and abiding love for her husband, Tony, spanned an incredible 45 years. Their love story was a testament to the power of devotion and partnership, demonstrating that true love knows no bounds. Tony was not only her husband but also her confidant, her partner in all of life’s adventures, and her unwavering source of love and support. Their bond was unbreakable, and they shared a love that will forever inspire those fortunate enough to witness it.

Carrie was extremely proud of her son, Brandon, and his remarkable achievements. She celebrated his journey, moving to the USA to chase his dreams and create a life for his family. Her support and love for him were immeasurable, a testament to her unwavering dedication to her family.

Carrie’s daughter, Ashley, was her rock. Ashley attended every appointment and had courageously handled the difficult conversations with each doctor. She was a constant source of strength and comfort, filling her mother’s life with warmth during the most challenging moments. Carrie took immense pride in Ashley and all of her life accomplishments.

The family extends a heartfelt thank you to all of her friends for their unwavering and devoted support.

Carrie’s memory will live on in the hearts of all those she touched, and her legacy of love, positivity, and strength will forever be cherished.

    Carrie was so kind, a caring human being, always had a smile for you. It was always an exceptional day when she was at work. We laughed so often. She was warrior in her fight never giving up! Momma Rose and I prayed everyday for her to be healed, but God needed her more. My deepest condolences to you all. God give you strength and peace. Heaven has another Angel.

    I am very very saddened by the news of Carrie’s passing. What a gal she was, I loved her affecionate smile, awesome personality, everything about her was just awesome. When the store on 33rd closed I often went to visit her at the UH store an there she was smiling away and sees me and says hello stranger, lol, she was so cute. I am very very sad and I give my deepest condolences to her family, may she RIP you beautiful lady 🙂

    Carrie was a truly a beautiful person. Alway gave you her smile until you found your own. Even in high school she only had eyes for one guy and that was Tony. Carrie and I lost touch after high school, but I know the world is a better place because she was in it. I’ll see you Carrie, don’t know when, but keep a place for me. My sincere condolences to Tony and her children.

    Carrie was so funny and kind.Working with her at Lawson was the best days ever.She always told jokes and would tell us how sweatttyy!! she was lol.She was a great storyteller around a fire.I will miss you my sister from another mister I will always love you and think of you often 😓🩷 xoxo

    I am so sorry for your loss. Carrie had a beautiful spirit. I went to elementary school and high school. She was kind and caring. Very fun to be around. It is sad, so sorry to hear.
