Muriel I. Keats

Muriel I. Keats

October 24, 1937 – May 5, 2023

Muriel Keats peacefully passed away at Spruce Manor Special Care Home In Dalmeny, SK on Friday, May 5, 2023 at the age of 85 years. She was predeceased by her husband Russell Keats. She leaves to mourn her passing her son Doug (Mary), daughter Kathy (Conrad) and son Kenny (Deb). She adored her grandchildren, Nancy, James, Savanna, Bayley and Abbey. Her 11 great-grandchildren brought her great pleasure.

Muriel was born in Schuler AB on October 24 1938 and was raised and attended school in Medicine Hat AB. As a young adult she moved from Medicine Hat to Merid SK to work on the Harvey Kidd farm. It was there that she met Russell. They spent some time in Mantario before settling in Merid and Alsask. It was here that Muriel dedicated much of her time volunteering to the Merid Home Maker, the Alsask Drop Inn center and the Alsask United Church Womens group. She enjoyed baking and was usually the last to leave the kitchen. She was alwaysSK there with a helping hand for a friend or neighbor.  She loved caring for people and tackled many babysitting jobs ( the young and the elderly) with open arms. They retired in Biggar where mom continued to care for new neighbors and friends until she was unable to.

Muriel was happiest when her family and friends were around. She was kind and easy going with a good-spirited sassy sense of humour everyone enjoyed.

There will be no service at this time.

Arrangements entrusted to Dalmeny Funeral Home 306-254-2022.
