Dave Wiebe
July 3, 1946 – April 19, 2023
It is with sadness and shock that we have to announce the sudden, but peaceful passing of Dave Wiebe on April 19, 2023. His sudden departure leaves all of us in grief, even though we can rejoice knowing he is present with the Lord Jesus.
Left to mourn his passing are his wife Linda, brothers Abe (Helen), Pete (Olga), John (Jean), sister Marti, sister in law Mary, numerous nieces and nephews, the Penner family and a blessed host of extended family and friends.
There will be a public viewing on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at 7:00 pm at Dalmeny Funeral Home. Burial at Hague Cemetery will take place Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at 11:00 am. Followed by a 2:00 pm Memorial Service and fellowship coffee at the Lawson Heights Alliance Church, 159 Pinehouse Dr., Saskatoon. Dave’s request is that you wear a cowboy hat, if you choose.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Coronary Care Unit at RUH, 103 Hospital Dr, Saskatoon, SK S7N 0W8 .

Dear Linda. I just saw Dave’s obituary. I am sorry for your loss of Dave. He was always jovial and could easily put a smile on the person he was talking with. Remembering him with fondness.

When I was a new teacher, I was fortunate to have Linda as a colleague and it was through knowing Linda and Dave that I came to realize that a good marriage was based on a deep and respectful friendship. Over the years, I met Dave occasionally at Auto Clearing and always enjoyed his visits and catching up on what the two of you were up to. I cannot imagine how hard this loss will be for you, Linda, but I know that Dave was so grateful for your love and that he was a very happy man at peace with himself and with God.

We were away on a bus trip after which we heard of Dave’s passing. We wish you God’s comfort and

I was very sad to hear of Dave’s passing . I know myself, and the other members of our musical group The Willie Sons will miss seeing him at our shows. Dave has been a loyal fan for many years and we have been blessed to have been lifted up by his wonderful smile and enthusiasm. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Wiebe family.
