Edward Geransky

September 28, 1945 – February 6, 2023

With saddened, yet restful hearts we announce the passing of Edward Geransky who went to be with the Lord on February 6, 2023  passing peacefully after battling cancer. 

Ed was predeceased by his parents Frank & Susie, siblings Elmer, Harvey & Lily, in-laws John Fehr & Kathy Geransky.  He is survived by his wife of 54 years Edna (Giesbrecht), his three children Lorraine (Kent) Hildebrandt, Viola Ayres (Neil Wight), Jocelyn Geransky (Cory Phillips); his grandchildren Caleb (Jazmin) Hildebrandt, Naomi Hildebrandt, Samuel (Sabrina) Hildebrandt and Trissa Ayres. One great-grandchild Ezra Hildebrandt.  He is survived by siblings Alice Fehr, Bernice (Bob) Slimmon , Arnold (Janet) , Irvin (Betty), George (Marlene) , Dennis (Bonnie), Marvin, Ruth (Norbert) Ens, Clarence (Karen) & in-laws Helen Geransky & Walter Baerg, as well as many nieces & nephews, cousins & friends.

His love for God was shared by everyone he met.  The family thanks all the staff at “Glengarda Hospice” for all their exceptional care.

The Funeral will be held at Saskatoon Tabernacle on Monday, February 13th, 2023 at 2:30 p.m.

An interment will take place following the service at Gruenthal Cemetery in conjunction with a luncheon.

    Dear Edna! I am so sorry to hear that your husband passed away. I remember being at your wedding way back when I was a child. Praying for God to give you strength as the road is hard and long but God gives grace for one day at a time. You have always been special to me as our parents were good friends.! Take care!
