Susie Krahn
February 24, 1928 – September 20, 2022
With heavy but joyful hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Susie Krahn into the arms of Jesus on Tuesday Sept. 20, 2022 at Warman Mennonite Special Care Home, with her loving family by her side.
She is survived by 5 children George (Martha), Mary (Bill), Eva, Margaret (Ben), Peter; 10 grandchildren, Joe (Charity), Nancy (Albert), David (Ria); Kim (Abe), Crystal (Brian), Jeremy (Tonya), Kevin (Amanda); Tamara (Darin), Melanie (Darin), Amanda (Dallas); 19 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband Gerhard Krahn (1962), her parents Peter (1946) & Maria (1997) Unger: Great Grandchild Cody Ens (1996), and son-in-law Simon Ens (2017). All siblings and in laws on both sides.
Mom was born on a farm to Peter & Maria Unger, February 24, 1928. She was baptized upon the confession of her faith May 16, 1948, by Bishop John Loeppky. On November 14,1948, she married Gerhard Krahn at the Neuanlage Old Colony Church by Rev. Peter Neudorf. In this union they had 5 children. Dad had a stroke March 6, 1955, taking care of family as well as her husband until his passing November 9, 1962.
She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and serving coffee and baking to all visitors. She did crocheting, sewing, and embroidery. On July 5, 2016, she moved into assisted living.
As her health declined on May 2022 she was placed in Warman Mennonite Special Care Home. Then on September 18th family was called to attend. On September 20th with her family by her side, at the age of 94, she slipped into the peaceful arms of Jesus.
Special thanks for all the support from the church family. The Family would like to express how thankful & blessed we were to have such excellent compassionate care from the staff at the care home. Thank you to each and everyone.
Funeral Service will be held at Neuanlage Old Colony Mennonite Church on Monday, September 26, 2022, 2:00 p.m. with interment to follow at the Neuanlage Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Dalmeny Funeral Home. 306-254-2022.

My condolences to the Krahn family at the loss of your mother and grandmother. Aunt Susie was a dear lady, and I always enjoyed visiting with her.
