Peter Thiessen
February 25, 1921 – February 26, 2022
We are sad to announce the passing of Pete Thiessen on February 26, 2022 one day after his 101 birthday. He was born on February 25, 1921 to Diedrich and Marie (Willems) Thiessen in the Mennon district.
Pete was predeceased by his parents Diedrich and Marie; parents in law Peter and Helen Peters; sister Martha; brothers Henry and John; sisters in law Marie, Marge, Mary, and Anne Thiessen; brothers-in-law Dan Peters and Pete Schierling; as well as 4 siblings in younger years.
He will be lovingly remembered by Luella his wife of 74 ½ yrs, daughters Ethel Giesbrecht, Doris (Richard) Peters, Judy (Bob) Krause and son Larry (Docean) Thiessen. As well as his brothers Bill (Arlene), Corny (Norma), Simon (Dorothy), Abe (Deanna), and George and many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service for Pete will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at 2:00PM at the Riverbend Church of God, 306 Sageuney Dr, Saskatoon, SK.
