George Davis
January 25, 1940 – January 26, 2022
George Albert Davis passed away on January 26, 2022. George was born in Saskatoon on January 25th 1940 to Harry and Dorothy Davis. He was the eldest of siblings Harry, Eleanor, Elizabeth and Donald and played a large caregiver role to them. He married the love of his life Joan Hails on October 29, 1960. We take comfort that they are now together once again. George and Joan bought an acreage in Vanscoy/Pike Lake District where they raised their family of 4 boys Rick, Dan, Terry and Bob. In retirement they moved to Saskatoon and became grandparents to Kristin and Sydney (Rick), Caitlin and Marissa (Dan), Michell and Kayla (Terry); also great grandparents to Colby and Ryan (Kristin). George lived his days as the local mechanic, known to always be in his shop fixing something. George was a lifetime farmer at heart and enjoyed driving the fields in his final years checking out the crops and equipment. Family would like to thank Michael and Nellie at Blest Care Home for making Grandpa part of their home after Grandma’s passing and treating him with such kindness and love.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00PM on Friday, June 3, 2022 at the Leney Cemetery.
