Arnold Charles Dufour
August 16,1940 – January 26, 2022
Whether it was his booming belly-laugh or harassing jokes, Arnold Charles Dufour made an impression on your heart and left memories to last a lifetime. At 3am on January 26th, 2022, Arnold held his wife’s hand for the last time and suddenly left this world due to cardiac arrest. This father, grandfather, uncle, and friend jigged through the pearly gates whistling his favourite tune leaving behind his loving wife of 52 years, Louise Dufour, and children: Allan, Vince (Sandra), Connie (Keanu Reeves), Arnolda (Jeff), Andrea (Shane), Adrienne (Gary). 27 Grandchildren and 15 Great-grandchildren. Arnold is predeceased by many family members, but most notably his mom Bella McNab, dad Francis Charles Dufour, and his children: Bonnie Rose, Charlene, Angela, Darcy, Arnold, Charles and grand-children Twilight, Earl (Baby D), Willie, Andrew (Mikey), and great-granddaughter: Deshenna.
Arnold grew up with not much in his hands, but his heart was full. Lessons he learned while living on the Road Allowance outside Punnichy, SK. with his mom, Bella McNab, carried him through life, and he instilled the importance of working hard, perseverance, and remaining positive onto his children and grandchildren. He was involved in the formative years of the Metis Nation of Saskatchewan by securing land and establishing of Batoche Days; he assisted in rallying members of Metis locals around Saskatchewan during the 1960’s and that is where he met his beautiful wife. He was not only a proud Metis but a successful owner of Dufour Construction, in his retirement years his pride and joy was in his children and grandchildren. We as a family invite you to join us in remembering the life of Arnold: Visitation Service – Saturday, January 29, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Dalmeny Funeral Home 139 3rd St. Dalmeny (Cremation to follow). All of our love and prayers for you, Arnolda and your family, not only for today but in the days and months to come. Love the Buhler family
Louise my deepest sympathies to you and your family. My fondest memories of my cousin Arnold is that he was always smiling and laughing. He referred to me as “Baby George” even when I got older. There was never a dull moment when Arnold was around. I hope you find comfort in the memories you shared. May you Rest In Peace Arnold.
