Peter H. Penner
September 21, 1947 – December 27, 2021
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Peter H. Penner of Neuanlage, Saskatchewan on December 27, 2021.
Peter grew up on a farm overlooking the Hague Saskatchewan ferry with his siblings, John, Martin and Henry, and parents, Peter and Helen Penner.
As a teenager, he worked jobs farming and operating equipment until he found his dream job at University of Saskatchewan. He started out cutting grass in the summer and spent winters cooking in the kitchen at Marquez Hall. Later he became the head horticulturist, responsible for growing flowers and keeping the campus beautiful. He did that for 42 years, enjoying every moment.
Peter loved spending his spare time with family and friends, loved woodworking, fixing vehicles and anything to do with gardening.
He leaves cherished memories with Linda Penner, his loving wife of 52 years, daughters Joanne (Morris) and Martha, sons Philip ( Raquel) and Jerry, and grandchildren Ashley, Alexander, Braden, Austyn, Brooklyn, Kalen, Maddax and Cheyenne. He is also survived by stepgrandchildren Charity, Jocelyn and Curtis and three brothers, John (Teena), Martin( Naomi) and Henry (Kathy).
The Celebration of Peter‘s life will be held Sunday, January 2, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Warman Bergthaler Mennonite Church. Due to COVID-19 masks will be mandatory and provided.
