Fay Braun
November 28, 1953 – October 12, 2021
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our sister, Fay Braun, on Tuesday, October 12, 2021. Fay was born in Saskatoon on November 28, 1953 to George and Agatha Braun. She is survived by her sister, Gloria (Lawrence) Peters, brothers Randy (Joyce) Braun, and Gord (Sandy) Braun, and her nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her parents, George and Agatha Braun and her nephew Grant Peters.
Fay was diagnosed with MS in 1994 but never let it take away her spirit. She met her diagnosis with acceptance and grace and showed us all how strong she was and lived as an example to us all. She moved to Oliver Lodge in 2012, where she resided until her passing, making many friends with all the residents and their families with her smile, wit and charm. Among the staff at Oliver Lodge she also had many friends, from nurses and care aids to housekeeping, dietary, laundry, recreation, and administration staff. We can’t thank them enough for being there when we couldn’t and being her second family.
There will be a hole in many lives now that she is gone. At her request there will be a private family Memorial at a later date.
Donations can be made in her memory to Oliver Lodge Special Care Home, 1405 Faulkner Cres, Saskatoon, SK S7L 3R5.
Arrangements entrusted to Dalmeny Funeral Home 306-254-2022.

Cousin Marg shared Fay’s passing with me yesterday. So sorry for your loss. I still have long term memories of her especially the school years. Never forgot her birth date. I am glad she had such good care at Oliver Lodge. ❤️
