Reuben Neufeld
February 5, 1937 – September 9, 2021
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of my husband of 60 years and father and grandfather; peacefully into the arms of Jesus at the age of 84 years. He was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2007. The last three years he fought courageously to remain active and stay on his feet. He was an inspiration to family and friends.
He was predeceased by his daughter Carolin; his parents Jacob & Margaret Neufeld; and brother-in-law Victor Penner. He is survived by his loving wife Kathy; his son Doug (Eleanor) Neufeld and their children Chad (Natasha), Juliann, and Steven (Brittney); son Terry (Robyn) Neufeld and their children Zackary, Joshua and Koby; daughter Charlene (Rob) Gustafson and their children Noah and Matthew; daughter Joanna (Todd) Baker and their children Scott and Alyssa (Sam) Redekop. He is also survived by his siblings Alice Penner, Mandy Neufeld, Dora (Jake) Peters, Walt (Mary) Neufeld, Leona (Doug) Buss, and Lil (John) Bergen; as well as many nieces and nephews. Thank you also to the wonderful staff who cared so lovingly for him at RUH on the 5th floor. You were our guardian angels by your compassion. May God bless you.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at 11:00am at West Portal Church. 3134 33rd Street West, Saskatoon, SK with interment to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
Memorial donations can be made to Gideon’s International. Arrangements entrusted to Dalmeny Funeral Home 306-254-2022.

Sorry for your loss Kathy. Reuben’s grandmother was a sister to my Grandpa Loewen so we always had that connection. He was so friendly and welcoming when we attended West Portal and we appreciated that. We know you and your family will miss him terribly but he is rejoicing now and cheering you on. You are in our prayers.
Kathy and family I’m so glad that Reuben is in heaven, free from all pain and rejoicing with Jesus. May the Lord comfort you as you grieve and remember him.
Rueben and I attended Bethany Bible School 61 years ago. It was so good to reconnect with Rueben at Sam and Alyssa’s wedding as we are Sam’s grandparents. We wish you, Kathy and family, God’s presence and peace at this time and in the days to come. Love and prayers,
