Mary (Maria) Penner
February 28, 1929 – May 26, 2020
Mary Penner, aged 91, passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at St. Paul’s Hospital in Saskatoon, SK. She was born February 28, 1929 in Neuhorst, SK. She is survived by her sister Elsie, her 5 children; Topaz/Irene (Terry), Lonnie (Eve), Tommy (Linda), Paula (Henry), Donna, and her grandchildren; Trevis, Jeffery, Russel, Gregory, Alysha, Stephanie, T.J., Katlin, Gerrit, Kobie and Kurt, and many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Mary and her husband John moved to the farm near Warman in 1958. While raising her family she actively worked the farm with her husband. Still finding time to volunteer in the community by helping start the Warman figure skating club and enjoying some winter sports like curling. She later owned her own business in Saskatoon. When the work days were finally done. Mary retired on the farm. Spending her time taking care of grandchildren and great grandchildren. Making sure that when the family gathered they were well fed with their favourite things.
Mary was many things to many people. Teaching us all things in her unique way. She will be missed and remembered as creatively as she lived. She did always like to do things just a little differently.
There will be a come and go viewing for Mary Penner, where social distancing measures and limiting of 10 people at one time will be held at the Dalmeny Funeral Home, 139 3rd Street, Dalmeny, on Friday, May 29, 2020 between 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. A live stream of the Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. Arrangements entrusted to Stefan Funk at DALMENY FUNERAL HOME 306-254-2022.

Dear Lonny and family
Willie and Diane sending all of you are deepest most sincere condolences…do sorry for the loss of your mom.
Donna, I am very sorry to hear about your families loss. Thinking of you and sending love. ❤️
Wishing peace and comfort for the family as you reflect on aunt Mary’s life and all she meant to you. I had a very nice visit with aunt Mary 2 years ago when dad and I stopped by the farm. She remembered my wife and children and specifics about our lives. It touched my heart because we had not see aunt Mary for many years and she would have needed to work at it to know what we were up to. I was blessed.
Condolences from my family to all the children and grandchildren.
Keith Penner
