Shea Armstrong
May 30, 1985 – April 6, 2020
Shea Lynn Armstrong passed away tragically the evening of April 6th, 2020. Shea was born May 30th 1985 to parents Debby Kivimaa and Doug Armstrong. He was also lucky enough to have step father Bob Quick come into his life at an early age.
In Shea’s early years he was be described as that little blue eyed, blonde haired little boy, lovingly nicknamed Dennis the Menace because he was always scheming a practical joke, or science project. By the age of 6 he started his entrepreneurship with a lemonade stand, and that love of new ideas and projects never stopped. He was always looking for a new endeavour to try or a new adventure to begin.
In Shea’s short life he saw a lot of the world. One place he dearly loved was Jamaica, so it was fitting that on November 7, 2009 he was married to the love of his life, Denise, on a beach in Jamaica. Shea and Denise spent the next 7 years moving, travelling, and enjoying their hobbies; Geocaching and going to Rider football games. Then at the end of 2016 they welcomed their son McLean.
Shea will be remembered as a man who dearly loved his wife and son. An Avid Rider fan, history and war buff, and someone who was never afraid of a new challenge or adventure. Shea also enjoyed SCUBA diving, flying and fishing. Adventure was in his blood.
Shea leaves to mourn his wife Denise and son Mclean. Mother Debby Kivimaa, father Doug Armstrong, and second father Bob Quick. Half sister Lindsay (Rod) Dahlen, nieces Randi and Mia. Grandma Dorothy Kivimaa, Aunts Kay and Shelly Kivimaa, Glenda Armstrong, Uncles Micheal Kivimaa, Neil (Joyce) Armstrong. Cousins Kristy, Landon, Nik, Garth, Alisha, and Jacey. In laws Calvin & Judy Pauls, Blaine (Miguel) Gaudet, Cody (Taylor) Pauls.
Shea was predeceased by his grandparents, Charlie Kivimaa, Floyd and Lila Armstrong. He was extremely close to them and the Turtle Lake and Hanley roots they planted were really strong and are a huge part of who Shea was.
In lieu of a Funeral or Memorial at this time, a Celebration of Shea’s Life will take place with friends and family in the summer of 2020 in both Hanley and Turtle Lake Saskatchewan.
A GoFundMe has been set up for the benefit of Denise and McLean as they start their new lives without their husband and father. https://ca.gofundme.com/f/memorial-support-for-the-armstrongs
Arrangements entrusted to DALMENY FUNERAL HOME 306-254-2022.
