John Thiessen was born May 22, 1928 to Diedrich & Maria Thiessen and passed away on November 1, 2019 at Spruce Manor Special Care Home. He was predeceased by his parents, his brother Henry, brother-in-law Dan Peters, sister Martha, sisters-in-law Mary, Marie, and Marge; as well as 4 siblings in younger years. He is survived by his wife Anne, his brothers Peter (Luella), Bill (Arlene), Corny (Norma), Simon (Dorothy), Abe (Deanna), George, as well as many nieces and nephews. Viewing will take place at Dalmeny Funeral Home, 139 3rd Street, Dalmeny on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be at Dalmeny Bible Church, 406 Wakefield Ave, Dalmeny on Thursday, November 7, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. Memorial donations can be made to Gideon’s International, 501 Imperial Rd N., Guelph, ON N1H 6T9.
